Ok so the loss last week was due to a lot of reasons, but what I believe to be the main one may surprise you. It comes down to special teams. After the Packers successfully squib kicked it to avoid the number one returner Harvin, they decide to kick to him when they are finally getting back into the game. That decision makes a whole lot of sense, down by 12 let's squib, down by 5, LET'S KICK IT TO HIM!!! And what does he do?
He runs it to about the 20 . . . . and sets up the TD that puts A-Rod and the pack in desperation mode. A crappy special teams call killed our chances, and that's what it boiled down to, killing a huge stride of Momentum for the pack.

Packers on the Rise, Vickings on the fall?
So with this win the Packers do some obvious domination (ok against the browns). Although penalties hurt us a little bit in the beginning and some at the end, they cleaned it up a lot. The O-line played AMAZING, allowing no sacks and had no penalties! Always a good sign, and the Defense played good as well holding the Browns to 3. Even with the defensive penalties they were able to recover. And with Ahman Green looking good and Tauscher getting healthy, this Packers Vikings game is going to be very interesting. Especially with a weaker viking backfield with Winfield out.
Favre also didn't play his greatest ball today. He overthrew a screen and lost them the game. Now I won't preach that this is the beginning of the end, but it's no secret Favre's play fell down a whole lot after the bye week. With a few good games (but not great) scattered around. Could this be the beginning of his fall with the Vikings? He's an old guy and to play reliably could be difficult. Although he has Adrian Peterson as a crutch to fall on, a good QB is necessary to get to win the division much less win the playoffs. This week they lost to a struggling Steelers team trying to get comeback after a Super Bowl W. With a struggling Lions, and an even worse situation in Chicago the momentum in the NFC north may very well be shifting to the Green Bay Packers.

Casting Crowns losing the youth fan base
So I went to the casting crowns concert last night as a volunteer for the merchandise table. I have seen CC once before live and it was pretty good then. The crowd was pretty into it, lots of worship. It was almost the same this time at Elmbrook church except the energy seemed a lot less. The crowd stood up, and sat down, and sang a long. The band seemed low key and not a whole lot of energy. Granted I'm a teen who loves hard rock and screaming, and jumping up around like a maniac listening to my favorite song. Yet it seemed like CC could do more to be energy filled.
I'm obviously not the only thinking this as I think I saw about 3 to 5 teens in an audience of 3,000 40-50 year old adults (a lot had small children with them). All of whom stood there and watched. If this is how they worship, excellent I'm pumped for them. But CC has to do something if they want to keep the youth interested.

1st one down
Hmmm I'm hoping this will be a nice way to share my thoughts pretty easily and quickly. I like to vent about random stuff so I now I have my way to do it. Looking forward to sharing after today :)
